Excavation of Basement begins on site!

Ascough Associates are pleased to report that excavation work for a new Basement construction beneath a house in Dorking has begun. This new level beneath the ground will become a media room with large screen. The Underpinning work to support the existing foundations has started and trenches have been dug 4 metres in depth. Exciting news!

New Loft conversion progressing well!

One project currently on site at the moment is a Loft Conversion. It is progressing well. Building Control have approved drawings and Structural Calculations. The new dormer window provides a beautiful view towards Reigate Hill. A large, spacious, new room has been created.

If you are lucky to have an attic space that is untouched, its a good time to consider improving it.  Did you know that under permitted development rights (not requiring planning permission) you can develop the space provided that the volume allowance does not exceed 40 cubic metres for a terraced house or 50 cubic metres for a semi-detached house.
